When I came into work today, the first thing I noticed was that the wall of my work space finally says my name!

I don’t have to be “Patricia Weiss” anymore.

It was to the point where, if someone from another department walked by and said, “Hey Patricia,” I’d just mumble “Hey” back.

I’ll tell ya. Something as trivial as having my own goddamn name slapped on that pane of frosted glass has made me feel 1,000 times more at home here.

  1. That looks very pretty.

I would also like a job where I get my name on frosted glass.

Closest I’ve come: velcro name tag for my supposedly fire resistant coveralls.

  2. All I have is a nifty laminated badge on a lanyard that lets me open all of the doors in the Retirement Home of the Dead.

  3. Man, I’m jealous…my name isn’t on frosted glass…at the old firm I used to work for, it was on the door, but with the state, it’s on a piece of paper taped outside of my office. Lame.

  4. Maybe I should write my name on my bedroom door, so my parents stop calling me ‘Andy’s deadbeat sister.’

  5. That’s a good feeling to have where you work. Once day I am going to burn my name in the carpet in the foyer area.

  6. Very impressive! I don’t think my name will ever get to go on frosted glass. Unless I do it myself…

  7. Wow! Permanent font and everything!!
