“Are you ever going to ask me?”

“Yeah,” Henry said, completely immune to my nuptial nagging by now.

“Do you even know when?” I prodded, arms crossed in petulance.

His affirmative answer seemed steeped in honesty, inspiring me to probe deeper.

“Is it going to be sometime in 2011?”

Henry said yes, and I screamed, “OMG ARE YOU GOING TO PROPOSE AT WARPED TOUR?”

He gave me a “don’t be stupid” smirk.

“But that would be so perfect,” I whined.

“Yeah,” he scoffed. “For YOU.”

Um, isn’t that the point?

Then I asked him if he planned on asking my dad for my hand (lol) but Henry reminded me that after we’ve lived together for ten years and spawned a child from our mutual hatred, my dad probably couldn’t care less either way.

Maybe by the time Henry finally puts a ring on it, Jonny Craig’s career will have collapsed upon itself faster than his veins and I can snag him to sing at our reception on the cheap.

  1. I love the saying “on the cheap”. It’s the best. WTF Henry – do Warped Tour…it’s what the lady wants!!!

  2. A Warped Tour proposal would be sooooo kickass!

  3. I heard basicly any day is good for proposing so I think he really need not wait around and just Do IT!

  4. I heard that proposals don’t have to be man-to-woman. I heard they can be woman-to-man, woman-to-woman, man-to-man, transgender-to….etc. Or then there’s the old mutual proposal of “fuck. looks like we have no legal recognition whatsoever if we’re common-law, I guess we might as well get it over and done with” (realizing that being common-law gives you absolutely no rights whatsoever = high romance). However, I have some weird crusty stuff in my ear, so maybe I heard wrong.

    • Common-law doesn’t exist in Pennsylvania anymore, whew!

I would absolutely never ask him. I’ve been so much of the pants-wearer for all these years, that I want to have that one girly moment, for Christ’s sake. I don’t know why that’s so arguable. :(

  5. OMG If he proposed to you at Warped, I would have a newfound respect for that man.

Not that I didn’t have any to begin with. I don’t really have much of anything for him, since I don’t know him from Adam. But, yeah.

Well this was a pointless comment.
