Holy Shitter

Can you believe that the bathroom was the LAST UNPAINTED ROOM in the house?? I never really cared about it but over the years, it’s become the place where I hang all my religious oddities, and after this last batch of crucifixes etc from Romania, I really started LOOKING at the walls and decided that they needed to be more gilded in order to properly showcase by churchy souvenirs. So Handy Hank (not to be confused with Handsy Hank, which is what the cashiers AT ALL OF HIS GROCERY STORE HAUNTS probably know him as) got some gold paint and went to town.
(He mixed in some gold glitter too so when the light hits certain areas of the wall, they glimmer which tickles my inner Liberace.)

I bought that frame from Five Below and two of the crosses I brought back from Romania fit perfectly in it and I love how it looks especially with the background that came with it.

Is it weird that I have lived here since 1999 and never noticed the pattern on the bathroom window? Henry just put this colored film on them for me and when I was inspecting his work like the amazing forewoman I am, I was like, “Wow, since when did we have actually really pretty windows in here?”
I guess because there is usually a screen on the window but when Henry took it off to put on the film, I was like, “LEAVE THE SCREEN OFF!”
“OK, but we can’t open the window then. Bugs will come in.”
LOL, OK so.

I also bought a set of two mirror shelves from Five Below and they’re perfect for showcasing cute items while being functional because it keeps them within reach. For instance – did I buy that Pore Shrinker from Olive Young just because it had Tom & Jerry on it? Ya bet.

I could have cleaned the mirror first but I didn’t feel like it and around these parts, I do what I feel and nothing extra.

I painted the Last Supper frame over the weekend while watching White Lotus episodes and then got stuck on the floor because I can’t sit CRISSCROSS APPLESAUCE at this age now I guess.
I also painted that Jesus portrait a long time ago back in my Fake Artist phase. (I grew out of that, thankfully! You’re welcome.)

Obvi I needed a new lightswitch plate thingie to match the vibe. Found this one on Etsy!
Well, that’s been my bathroom update. Excited to see how long it takes Chooch to notice it when he comes home on Friday!
