Happy (?) Easter! I’m trying to be upbeat today, because Easter has been my second-favorite holiday for years. We’d always be doing something fun for spring break (twice we were in Korea!), eating EASTERgayo sandwiches, or just having a chaotic Easter bunny photoshoot. Now that Chooch is in college, his spring break doesn’t fall on Easter, which sucks. Last year, there was enough time between his break and Easter that it made sense for Henry and me to make the day-trip to Philly to spend the day with him, but we JUST returned him to Philly last Sunday, and it seemed like too much to make that drive twice in one week.

Also? We found out yesterday that he’s spending Easter with his one roommate’s family in New Jersey, anyway!!

I mean, I’m happy for him, but depressed for us.

So, today it will just be me, Henry, and Penelope. I will probably take 7 walks around the neighborhood. Watch some XO, Kitty. Listen to NCT Dream and cry. Read a book. Henry will do what I tell him to do. Penelope will lounge around and sleep a lot. And then tonight, Henry and I will go to the Poetry Lounge to see some bands.

It feels weird to be home, and even weirder that it’s cold and gray outside. We’ll get through it. (Hopefully lol.)
