Real quick – here’s our latest FUN-iture piece (that was really bad, I am going to call our furniture that all of the time now)! It’s actually the old buffet that we used to have in the living room that was painted blue, white and gold glitter. For some reason, Henry had inherited two identical buffets from his grandparents (I think?) so the clown one that is currently in our living room was actually the second buffet that we refurbed and the original one was moved to the attic lounge to be used as board game storage and record player table. BUT I HATED IT UP THERE. It killed the vibe so hard.

I knew it had to be way more vibrant and then I thought it would be fun to decorate it with old media like cassettes and 8-tracks — good thing we’re hoarders and have had a box of random 8-tracks from stupid Weiss Meats for over 25 years, just chilling in the basement.

The front has a broken CD mosaic. We added the dinosaurs, bone, and “Asteroid” bouncy ball drawer pulls to really drive home the “prehistoric” theme. (Don’t worry, I have had to explain this to people so many times now.)

Also — ignore the floor. It’s permanently stained with paint droplets and god only knows what else.

Henry’s in the kitchen singing the new BIGBANG song as I type this — PRETTY APROPOS WHEN YOU THINK ABOUT IT!??!?

Guess what else? Henry admitted that these projects are FUN for him. See??? FUNiture.

He still has to paint the hinges and I’m doing a collage inside the doors using old AltPress magazines and ticket stubs.
